One of the most common questions I get from my community is, “Lori – what price should I charge?!”
I get it. You don’t want to charge so much that your potential clients can’t afford you and you don’t want to charge too little that no one takes you seriously. I have seen many practitioners get paralyzed when they have to put a dollar value on their services… they get overwhelmed and start to feel “yucky” and “salesy” and their momentum grinds to a halt. So let’s talk about pricing in your health business and what that actually looks like.
Here is the crazy truth. It really doesn’t matter what you charge. Hear me out…
Over the years I have had so many different price points for my services and programs and at this point NO price point shocks. I’ve seen offers for $1 and I’ve seen offers to join a mastermind for $100,000 (which was pitched by a woman no less) and it has really made me realize – the actual price point of your offer (aka what you charge for your services) REALLY doesn’t matter.
People buy things they can’t afford all the time because having the thing makes them feel good – the thing satisfies a surface level desire. New iphones. New shoes. A new car.
Why should accepting an invitation into a transformation that solves their BIGGEST health problem (without making them do the things they hate) be any different?
Well it’s not… but I know it doesn’t feel that simple!
In this episode (which you are going to want to download and come back to by the way), we cover everything from the mental barriers surrounding setting a fee to the intricacies of determining the dollar amount YOU are worth per hour. I explore some of the reasons why many of us find “prices” so triggering and I share my step by step process for coming to the price point that is right for you!
Remember, it takes just as much energy to sell a $27 priced program as it does to sell a $1,500 program, make sure you choose to the right price for you and your service!
Here’s What I Talk About in This Episode:
- What exactly is your program offer?
- Determining what your live time investment is
- What is the transformation your service or program offers?
- How much have clients paid in the past for similar services?
- Thinking about what YOU are worth
- Determining how much you want to make per month, and how much your business needs
- A basic framework to work from when setting a price point
- The reverse engineering strategy to setting a price point
